i had a blast doing these! i still need to work on pushing my values more, as my darks aren't as dark as i know they could be, but this was a super fun session and i'm really happy with how these turned out. :)

All of these are pretty good and some are magnificent. Really loose, yet descriptive lines - 1, 2, 3 and 5, and the last one, especially. Look at these - look how the shading is loose, yet captures the value pattern without seeming too overworked.
For faces, work lightly and loosely - just like the rest of the form.
